My pinion keeps falling off the motor shaft -- this happen to any of you guys? Any ideas for keeping it on there? Don't wanna glue it 'cause then you can't switch it out.
You could try some loctite or maybe rubber cement. Something adhesive that isn't a permanent bond. Maybe try putting a little hairspray on the motor shaft. or maybe a dab of shoe goo.
Just some ideas that have worked with other stuff in the past. (Not necessarily Mini-Z stuff though)
Ya i had the same problem on my AWD at the beginning of my 3rd set of batteries. I was racing it so i just put it back on to finish the race, but i was gonna try wedging some wite Teflon tape by putting a small piece on the shaft and sliding the pinion on over it. Haven't done it yet though, i've been busy getting my TC3 ready for a huge local annual race event at my LHS tomarrow.

Kamehamehaaaaa!!!!!! Rallye racers are the originators of drift Speedchannel on-line rocks!!
We are having the same problem. It happened to me for the 1st time yesterday. Some of the guys at the track have been putting thin super glue in the hole of the pinion while it is not on the motor. They let it cure and then install. This creates a tighter fit and they have better luck.
i use blue liquid thread lock from the hardware store....works great!
I just got my MA-010 last week, and this has been happening to me as well..
It looks like loctite is the best solution. Any problems taking the pinion off after using it?
i'd either 1. ask around for another pinion or...if you have hobby sized drill bits, i'd caliper the shaft of the motor, fill the pinion hole with CA leaving a slight empty area at the top to help center the bit, and drill accordingly.

As long as you use Blue (Medium Strength) loctite, you should be fine. It holds the pinion enough so it doesn't fly off, but not enough that you can't pull it off.
if you have ever raced slot cars they make athing called a (pinion press) these work well for that . they also make one to pullit off (pinion pully ). you can get these at a slot car place or retailer .........jb.
I saw EMU on another thread suggesting to use liquid nails, it's nail hardening solution. I tried it and it works great. It gets it solid enough for it not to fly off under load and doesn't get as stuck on an Loctite.

I actually have an old pinion pulley (30+ years) that came from a a slot car collection my dad bought at a garage sale. Handy little tool to have, that's why I always kept it around. There was probably a press in there too but all that stuff is long gone.
Thanks for all the suggestions, I'll probably throw some loctite on there, and hopefully that should hold it for a while. My main concern was the pulley widening the little hole in the top if I had to force it off, but I guess new pinions are cheap enough anyway.
