Damper Oil
PorscheGuy964,
Because the damned device doesn't fit due to the long wheelbase, I havent put any oil in yet.
I got some 'technical oil' from a specialist tool supply shop.
It's an ultra low viscosity oil used to lubricate light action areas like photocopiers (XeroX machines) and the bars on DeskJet printers.

Mondo,
What oil shock do you have that doesn't fit the long wheelbase?

'58 Chevy
Ken,
Only one person other than myself has seen it, namely Russ. Russ was good enough to buy it (and a few others that I won't mention yet) on my behalf.
It's sanded down, the plastic is black and it needs some tailight lenses, as it was an assembled kit that got badly neglected, but is salvagable. It's the Bel-Air, a magnificent looking car.
I used some excess Tamiya headlight lenses to complete the front end. The wheelbase is way too long and although I own a Dremel, I don't feel confident enough to chop it. Hell, I'm even prepared to ship it to the U.S. of A if you want to chop it on my behalf
An extension is in order
I will only submit pics once completed, as since I started this new work project, I spend 4-5 nights a week away from home.
NML
The Ultimate is bad-ass, it turns hard rubber into dust on grippy surfaces. I am not dissapointed, that's for sure

Mondo,
I'll chop it for you, but you might not like the distortion.
And the mounting is all you, dude.

Squished Bel-Air
Ken,
I was kidding about shipping the Bel-Air to you.
I will, time permitting, make an extension. I'd like to stick with the original wheelbase as I'm going to use this as my drag racing bodyshell.
The width is good as it's 1/24 and I can fit wide fronts and rears 'under' the front fenders for that 'low-rider' look. There is ample space for steering too!
When I look at that bodyshell mounted on my Auto-Scale "stash-box" display chassis, Cheech and Chong's "Low Rider" song pops into my head for some wierd reason.
Low ri-duh drives a little slower, dum, dum, dum, dum dum dum.. Low ri-duh gets a little higher...

Take a little trip, take a little trip...
Oh well, I'll just have to find another project.
I have been interested in chop dropping a 39 Chevy.
